Aloe vera contains salicylic acid which removes dead skin cells and dissolves them, unblocking pores.
Salicylic acid works by causing the epidermal cells to shed properly. Actually, its main function is to dissolve this cement that holds those cells adhered together in the clogged pores.
Simply put, salicylic acid aids in the process of exfoliation by eliminating surface skin cells and opening up pores.
